The organic products Girolomoni® are guaranteed by a serious and strict control. We should first of all mention that the Co-op is a 100% organic company (in compliance with EC standards, as per Reg. 834/2007 and 889/2008 and subsequent amendments) certified ICEA (Ethical and Environmental Certification Institute: download pdf)

Pursuant to the terms of EC Reg. 178/2002, in order to guarantee full traceability of the finished product, all the Girolomoni food product processing procedures are certified and monitored, starting from the raw materials, and through to the finished product. Certain analysesare carried out directly in the internal lab of the company (calculation of humidity, ashes and acidity, microbiological analyses, analytical buffer solution tests to assess environmental hygiene on the farmed surfaces, cooking tests) and others are carried out in external labs accredited with SINAL (quantification of pesticides, micro-toxins, heavy metals, GMO)

The cost sustained for the analyses amount to 0.4% of the turnover, a high value which is synonymous of heightened guarantee and safety, for the company and the end consumer alike. The certifications obtained over the years, which are tangible proof of how much energy the company dedicates to the quality of its labor and of its products, are:

Certification IFS
(International Food Standard) obtained through the certification institute “Bureau Veritas”. The IFS is a food safety and quality standard, it is a tool that has been developed to assess the safety and the quality of food products, through an evaluation of the entire supply chain. The German Federal Union of Trade Associations (BDH) has issued the IFS standard to respond to the need of German large-scale retail to screen suppliers of branded food products. The IFS standard was later adopted also by the French association FDC (Fédéracion du Commerce et de la Distribution – Federation of Commerce and Distribution) and by the Austrian one.
Certification Kosher
issued by the Rabbinic Court of Northern-central Italy.
(Organic Food Development & Certification Center of China) for the Chinese market

(Japanese Agricolture Standards) for the Japanese market.
(Istituto per la Certificazione Etica e Ambientale)

The flours arriving at the company are carefully and rigorously inspected: their color, odor, overall appearance, humidity, ashes and proteins. Only water is added to the flours that move on to the kneaders, coming from a source upstream that is not the product of industrial agriculture. Since the company’s policy is focused on the quality of its production, the pasta is dried at medium-low temperatures. This is the only way not to alter the nutritional principles and the organoleptic contents of the raw materials used. During packaging operations, samples are taken from each production batch to carry out analyses and controls to ensure product compliance.
